Harman Becker Partners With OpSec Security for Optimization of Online Sales Channels

MUNICH--The internet is an important distribution channel for many companies today. However, this possibility offers both opportunities and risks thus requiring particular attention. In order to optimise, to control and simultaneously to strengthen online distribution for the Becker brand as well as to detect dubious traders, Harman Becker Automotive Systems GmbH, producer and marketer of high-performance audio, entertainment, information and communication systems for the automotive industry, has hired OpSec Security, a company specialised in the protection of sales, licenses and trademarks.

OpSec’s employees screen online shops, on behalf of Becker, for agreed products from the area of mobile navigation. In this way, the company is able to obtain a detailed overview of online traders who offer their products as well as their sales metrics. In addition, OpSec employs its in-house software in order to detect eBay sellers who make unauthorised use of original product images and logos belonging to Becker.
